Why We Like It
The BankAmericard® Credit Card is a solid card if you are trying to pay down credit card debt.
Get an introductory 0% APR for your first 18 billing cycles for balance transfers made within first 60 days.
It's the best Bank of America card for balance transfers. It could save you a ton of money on interest payments if you hold credit card debt on other high-interest cards.
Get an introductory APR rate of 0% for 18 billing cycles for balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening
This "basic" BankAmericard® Credit Card has the lowest available interest rate among all BankAmericard® credit card products, including its BankAmericard Cash and Travel Rewards cards.
You should only apply for this card if you're looking to pay down debt and can do so on time. Otherwise you'll be paying up to a 29.99% Penalty APR (yikes) if you don't pay your full balance every month.
There is a balance transfer fee of $10 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater. Other cards would be better for avoiding fees if you're transferring a high amount of debt.
Additional benefits include:
- Free Monthly FICO Score
- $0 Fraud Liability

Thoughts from Actual Users
"Decent card only if you're paying down debt. Not considered a rewards card so if you're looking for points get another BankAmericard. Happy to have this card for now, I pay entire balance every month so it's worthwhile." - Dana M. of Orlando, FL
"The standard BankAmericard is good only for balance transfers. I'm a BofA customer already and I like the customer service and company. This card is solely for balance transfers so you have to stay organized in terms of dates." Tom L. of Williamsburg, PA
