Why We Like It
The BankAmericard Travel Rewards® Credit Card from Bank of America, named a Kiplinger's "Best Travel Rewards Card" in 2015, is a straight-forward, solid rewards card for travel enthusiasts who don't want to pay an annual fee.
Earn 1.5X miles on all purchases. No complex bonus categories or tiered earning!
If you're a Bank of America customer, you'll also earn an extra 10%-75% in bonus points on all purchases (see below).
Redeem miles for statement credits on any travel purchase. Each mile is worth 1 cent when redeemed for travel statement credits. Travel category includes airlines, hotels, trains, car rental agencies, taxies, buses, cruises, vacation packages, travel agencies and even tourist attractions like zoos and amusement parks.
Limited Time Bonus: you'll earn 20,000 Bonus Miles when you sign up now and spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of account opening.
That's worth $200 in free travel!
You'll pay 0% APR for the first 12 months on any purchase. This could be a great choice if you're looking to finance a big upcoming purchase because you don't have cash on hand right now.

Thoughts from Actual Users
"Best card. I have been use this card on all my European trips is the best you get the best exchange rates and no transaction fee ( is a ++++) When you visited different countries Also if you have Bank of America accounts you will be get more rewards on my last trip i earned rewards to pay for 3 nights hotels (Sweden) a cruise night (Finland) and few dinners at restaurants Highly recommended this card is you travel even is one time a year." Angel L. of Washington, DC
"Great if you're in the BofA Ecosystem! You get extra bonuses with this card if you bank with Bank of America. If you're not in the Preferred Tier, you get 1.5% back. Extra bonuses as a Preferred Tier member are: Gold gets 1.875%, Platinum gets 2.25% and Platinum Honors gets 2.625%. As non-Preferred Tier member at BofA, I get 1.5%. I use the BankAmericard Travel card for all other purchases when my other two cards aren't being used for 5% quarterly rewards rotations or 3% gas and 2% groceries with the BankAmericard CashRewards card. The Travel Rewards card is very nice as a "catch all" card non-gas/groceries/quarterly rotation purchases. Instead of 1% back like the other two cards, it's 1.5%." Dana O. of Jackson, WY
"I work for Bank of America I know every in and out of this card. And our Cash reward card. This card is amazing. So many people just don't know what the market is like for borrowing money and thing the interest rates are to high. The card charges you less, or not at all in some areas, and to make up for it with carry a higher interest rate." Tanner S. of Charlotte, NC
